【摘要】:Thispracticedefinesthepropertiestobetested,theapparatustobeused,andthecomparisonsofproductperformance.Itisrecognizedthatconsiderablediscretionexistsamongformulatorsandmarketersoffurniturepolishonwhichpropertiesorperformancecharacteristicsarebestfortheirproducts.Thispracticewillbeflexibletohonorthisfactwithintheconfinesofthefurniturepolishdefinitionbelow.Themethodsoftestingaresubjectiveandempiricalinordertoconformtothebasiccharacteristicsoftheindustryandtoallowflexibilityintesting.1.1Thispracticecoversthedefinitionofpropertiestotestandtheapparatustouseinevaluatingtheperformanceoffurniturepolishes.1.2ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
