【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversaustenitic-ferritic(duplex)stainlesssteelcastingsforvalves,flanges,fittings,andotherpressure-containingparts.1.2Theduplexstainlesssteelsofferacombinationofenhancedmechanicalpropertiesandcorrosionresistancewhenproperlybalancedincompositionandproperlyheattreated.Ferritelevelsarenotspecified,butthesegradeswilldeveloparangeofapproximately30to60%ferritewiththebalanceaustenite.Itistheresponsibilityofthepurchasertodeterminewhichgradeshallbefurnisheddependingondesignandserviceconditions,mechanicalproperties,andcorrosion-resistantcharacteristics.Note18212;Becauseofthepossibilityofprecipitationofembrittlingphases,thegradesincludedinthisspecificationarenotrecommendedforserviceattemperaturesabove600x00B0;F[315x00B0;C].1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.
