【摘要】:Themeaningofthetestisrelatedtothemanufacturingandenduseofthematerial,todeterminecharacteristicsofproducts.Thewaterholdingcapacityofhydraulicallyappliedmulchesforhydraulicplantingcorrelatesdirectlywithenhancedslurryandspraypatternsbyprovidingbettersoil/slurrybindingabilityandrateofseedgermination.1.1Thisquantitativetestmethoddetermineswaterholdingcapacityoffibermulches,includingwood,paper,andagriculturallyderivedandblendedfibermulchesusedforhydraulicplanting.1.2Thepurposeofthistestmethodistoprovideameansofevaluatingwaterholdingcapacityinfibermulches.Productspecimenisconditionedandweighed,saturatedandre-weighedtodeterminewaterholdingcapacity.Thewaterholdingcapacityisexpressedasapercentageofincreasedweightaftersaturation.Therearenoknownlimitationstothistestmethod.Norangeofconcentrations/valueshavebeendetermined.Thistestmethodispreferablyperformedinalaboratory.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
